I climbed this mountain on Saturday…

I didn’t google it until we got on the plane from Boston to Bangor, Maine.  I didn’t realize that I was hiking up a legit mountain.  You have to understand that in Georgia we have mountains, but nothing that is above the tree line.  And definitely nothing that snows on top half of the year.

I went to bring Kyle home.  Kyle is a stud because he hiked the whole Appalachian Trail in just over five months.  Seriously… 2178.3 miles of wilderness.  He didn’t shave either.

With all that being said here is a view from the top.

I am glad that Kyle is home.  He really is one of the best friends I have.  I love that five months in the wilderness doesn’t even come close to changing our friendship.

Well… we have known each other since kindergarten.

I am going to Maine tomorrow…

To pick up a friend. The friend I have known the longest. The one who gains that best-friend-besides-my-wife status

Kyle walked to Maine on the AT. I am going to hike the last five miles with him because we always talked about me finishing with him. It has been a dream of our since he ever thought about going.
